Value Chain Studies

              The mission had initiated value chain study in resource block under MKSP. Similarly, the mission also explore the possibilities of value chain interventions in terms of business generated, number of Mahila Kisans benefitted and also formalization of PGs into legal entities by engaging expert NRP in intensive block. Every PG formed under SRLM will follow a strong pathway towards sustainability and economic viability. That will essentially involve identification of opportunities for collectivization, developing the business model for PG and maintaining standard books of records. The mission had develop guideline for Producers Group formation and concept seeding training was already conducted for mission staff and targeted PGs during FY 2019-20. So, more focus will be given for strengthening existing PGs and target Producers Group by increasing their business volumes and also on training of CRPs.

           For promotion of large scale Producer Enterprise (PE) for scaling up market linkage of ginger, mizo chilli and turmeric. Foundation for Development of Rural Value Chain (FDRVC) had conducted feasibility studies on major spices in Aizawl district and Champhai district. Consultative workshop and training on Producer Enterprise promotion is plan to be conducted during Financial Year 2020-21.
