MzSRLM had done convergence with MGNREGA and other line departments in different R.D blocks under MzSRLM operational areas for creation of durable and productive community and individual assets in order to strengthen the livelihood resource base of the rural poor. The mission had taken up construction of common assets permissible under MGNREGA and other line departments for the benefit of DAY-NRLM compliant SHGs. The following action has been taken by MzSRLM for convergence with MGNREGA and other line departments :
- All Block Mission Director (BMD)/Block Development Officers (BDO) within MzSRLM operational areas submitted MGNREGA target every year for NRLM SHG member.
- State Mission Director/Commissioner & Secretary, RD Department issued office order to all BDO’s in order to ensure achievement of convergence target for DAY-NRLM compliant Self Help Group members under MGNREGA.
- Meeting of all BDO’s was held at state level under the chairmanship of Rural Development Minister where CEO, MzSRLM highlighted the status and achievement of MGNREGA target. All BDO’s were informed to take effective steps to achieve Block targets planned under MGNREGA.
- District level convergence meeting of Village Council member and MGNREGA incharge was organized at district level under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner.
- Regular meeting with Joint Director & scientist of ICAR for supply of seed, goat, vermi-compost pit, arecanut plate machine etc. available through Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP).
- KVK for capacity building – vermicompost, strawberry, pickle making, honey & mushroom cultivation, livestock farming etc.
- AH & Veterinary Department for animal health camp, deworming, vaccination, supply of piglet, chicks.
- Zoram Poultry Development Society for supply of chicks.
- PIGFED for capacity building and supply of feed.
- NEIDA for construction of pigsty.
- Agriculture/Horticulture department for supply of CHC tools.
- All block staff were informed to submit assets creation sheet to SMMU every quarter along with good photograph.
- Review and compilation of data at SMMU level.
